PURPOSE:To prevent the transverse slide and breakage of a strip by obtaining the tension of the strip and disturbance torque, etc. according to the armature current and revolution speed of each driving motor for the contiguous rollers and negative-feedback-controlling these vlues into a speed control system. CONSTITUTION:An arithmetic circuit OBS estimates the amount l of extension of strip, speed omega2 of trailing roller, and disturbance load torque TL from the speed omega1 of a main roller and the armature current Ia of a driving motor. These signals, speed omega1 of main roller, amount l of extension of strip, speed omega2 of trailing roller, armature current Ia, and disturbance torque TL are negative- feedback-controlled into a speed control system. Therefore, the tension of the strip transported by a group of rollers can be stabilized by making the mechanism of the apparatus complicated, and the transverse flow of the strip can be prevented by applying a desired tension, and the vibration of the strip and the breakage due to an excessive tension can be obviated. |
