PURPOSE:To reduce the transient loss of a transistor by providing means for turning ON and OFF by displacing the timings of main and sub transistors in a pulse width modulator. CONSTITUTION:A main transistor 4 is driven by a pulse width modulation signal of a comparator 16. On the other hand, the negative input of the comparator 19 is the voltage higher than the output of an error amplifier 14. Accordingly, the comparator 19 drives to open or close a sub transistor 7 by a pulse width modulation signal synchronized with the output of the comparator 19, but after a main transistor 4 is turned ON, the sub transistor 17 is turned ON, and the transistor 17 is turned OFF before the transistor 4 is turned OFF. |
