PURPOSE:To enhance both heat resisting and corrosion resisting properties of the bearing in the caption at a low cost together with easiness of machining by forming rolling components with ceramics as well as laying a cover made of ceramics over the surfaces excluding fitting contact surfaces between inner/outer races and supporters therefor. CONSTITUTION:A bearing 3 comprises an inner race 31 and an outer race 32 made of heat resisting steel, cylindrical rollers 34 mode of ceramics and interposed between inner race 31 and outer race 32 while being held by a holder 33 made of heat resisting steel, and separately provided roller retaining flanges 35, 36 made of heat resisting steel and installed on respective one side ends of inner/outer races 31, 32. Ceramics 37 is applied and formed in a coating of thicker than at least 5mum, preferably 10-15mum thick, on the surfaces of inner/outer races 31, 32 and roller retaining flanges 35, 36 forming parts of those races, excluding the fitting contact surface between a shaft 1 and a supporter 2, particularly excluding the inner peripheral faces 31b, 35a in the case of inner race 31 and flange 35 respectively, excluding the outer peripheral faces 32b, 36a in the case of outer race 32 and flange 36 and on the whole surface a holder 33. |
