PURPOSE:To obtain the disk accommodating case having no camber or strain by a method wherein the upper shell and the lower shell thereof are formed by molten or soften thin resin and a beam member, formed by resin, is inter posed between said shells to connect them. CONSTITUTION:The lower shell 11 and the upper shell 12 are manufactured by press forming utilizing the molten or soften resin extruded so as to have a thin thickness while the beam member 13 having thick thickness is formed by resin through injection molding. The shells 11, 12 are provided with reinforc ing ribs 20 while the member 13 is provided with a protuberance 13a for deter mining the mounting position thereof. Subsequently, the shells 11, 12 and the member 13 are integrated by bonding or fusion welding under a condition that a magnetic disk is accommodated in the integrated case. According to this method, the disk accommodating case, having no camber or strain, may be manufactured. |
