<p>Apparatus comprises a neutron source, a filter for transmitting neutrons of a given energy level and a device for supporting the radiographed objects next to the filter. A converter screen adjacent to the support can be activated by irradiation by the neutrons which are diffused by the objects at energy levels different from those of the neutrons passing through the filter. Specifically, the neutron source is a nuclear reactor which supplies a neutron bundle of energies between approx. 2 and 20 eV with a flux of at least 107 n/cm2 approximately.</p> |
