PURPOSE:To permit to elongate the life of a tire and lighten the weight thereof by a method wherein a zinc plating layer, excellent in bonding property between rubber, is applied on a continuous filament consisting of an amorphous alloy to constituted the reinforcing material for rubber. CONSTITUTION:The yarn stock of the iron series amorphous alloy filament, manufactured by melt spinning method, is intertwined to a cord 3 for the tire, which is consisting of a strand 2, thereafter, zinc plating is applied thereon. The intertwined cord 3 is applied in the tire having three sheets of belt 4 on the carcuss 6 thereof as the outermost layer belt 5 and functions as the reinforcing member excellent in the bonding property between rubber. According to this method, the life of the tire may be elongated and the weight of the tire may be lightened. |
