PURPOSE:To enable the exact operation of a sliding roof, by coupling the sliding roof to sliders engaged on guide rails, and b driving the sliders by an electric moving means controlled on the basis of the output of a means for detecting the position of the slider. CONSTITUTION:A roof frame 4 is disposed under the periphery of an opening 3 for a sliding roof 2. Guide rails 5 are provided at the right and left portions of the roof frame 4. Uptilting sliders 12, which are moved back and forth by an electric moving means through the action of wires 11, are engaged on the guide rails 5. drain channel sliders 7 are engaged on the guide rails 5. An uptilting mechanism 36 is composed of uptilting arms 33, which are engaged by shafts 31, 32 in the long grooves 13 of the sliders 12, arms 34 pivotally coupled to the sliders 7, and so forth. The electric moving means is controlled on the basis of the outputs of a tilt sensor 105 and a slide sensor 106, which function to detect the position of the slider 12, so as to exactly operate the sliding roof 2. |
