This electronic regulator is associated with an alternator 2 which charges a storage battery 1 by way of a rectifier bridge 3, in a motor vehicle. A detection and measuring element 5 is placed on the battery 1 and delivers a signal S taking into account the temperature Tb and voltage Ub of the battery, by internal electronic means of comparison.
