PURPOSE:To form a film having superior corrosion resistance, by subjecting the surface of a zinc-type base material to chromating and then to treating with a soln. of specified organic titanium compd. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a base material, made of zinc or at least contg. zinc in the surface thereof, is subjected to chromating by a conventional method. The chromate-treated surface is then treated with an organic solvent soln. or water in which 0.01-10wt% of 1 or >=2 kinds among the organic titanium compds. represented by the formula: in which R1O is monomolecular monoalkoxy; X is calboxyl, phosphate, pyrophosphate, phosphite, sulfonyl; R2 is alkyl; and the symbol (m) is a natural number from 1-3. Concrete examples are isopropyltriisostearoyltitanate, isopropyltridodecylbenzenesulfonyltitanate, etc. |
