PURPOSE:To obtain an image guide free from twist and having a large number of pixels, by contracting a plurality of fiber filaments in a definite shape, and winding the filaments contacting its one face to the surface of a winding drum. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of fiber filaments 8 each having e.g. a regular hexagonal cross-section are packed closely to form a rod. The obtained image rod 10 is contracted in the furnace 11, and wound around the drum contacting a side of the hexagon to the surface of the drum 13. An image guide composed of regular hexagonal bundle fibers 12 each having straight and non-twisted edges can be produced by this process. |
