PURPOSE:To enhance the accuracy of adjustment of the space between side face belts arranged at both sides of a relay conveyor, in dependence upon the sizes of fruits, by providing such an arrangement that the space between the side face belts is gradually decreased toward the terminal end of the relay conveyor, and the both belts are parallely movable in the directions of approach and separation. CONSTITUTION:When the size of fruits changes so that the adjustment of width of a realy conveyor 3 is required, a handle which is not shown is turned to rotate a pinion 6. Thereby, racks 7, 8 move in opposite directions, respectively. Since the racks 7, 8 are attached thereto with side face belts 4, 5 through the intermediary of movable frames 15, 16, respectively, the side face belts 4, 5 parallely move in opposite directions, respectively, with respect to the longitudinal center line of the relay conveyor 3 as a reference, and therefore, approache or separate to and from each other to adjust the width of the relay conveyor 3. |
