PURPOSE:To make it possible to optionally set the rolling speed and transfer speed of a rolling device for transferring cylindrical materials, by providing such an arrangement that a material to be transferred on a conveyor member is pushed to be transferred by a pushing member, and simultaneously the conveyor member is driven in the reverse direction. CONSTITUTION:A drive force is applied to a cage A in the direction of the arrow C by means of a conveyor member 5 for driving the cage A in the direction of the arrow (c), and the cage A is pushed against one of push rollers 3 which are moved in the direction of the arrow (b) by means of a chain 2. With this arrangement, the cage A is rotated in the direction of the arrow A on the conveyor member 5 while it is transferred rightward. In this arrangement, the transfer speed of the cage A is dependent upon the drive speed of the chain 2, and this drive speed affects the rotating speed of the cage A. Accordingly, by making the drive speed of the chain 2 variable, the rotational speed and the transfer speed may be optionally set. |
