PURPOSE:To obtain a color photosensitive material enhanced, especially, in the reproducibility of image tone and color by adding a dye not contributing to formation of one hue to a specified image region having the image density of its hue exceeding a specified value set in a specified range so as to give gradation. CONSTITUTION:The multilayer silver halide color photographic sensitive material has a blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer contg. a cyan color-forming coupler, a green-sensitive layer contg. a magenta color-forming coupler, and a blue-sensitive layer contg. a yellow color-forming coupler, and a spectral sensitizing dye not contributing to formation of the hue of a magenta or yellow image and giving a cyan gradation is added to the hue density region in which yellow or magenta image density exceeds a predetermined value within 1.2-2.5, e.g., 1.5, thus permitting the cyan density to be increased without affecting the magenta or yellow density, and a superior color image sharpened in reproduction of the red color and having shade to be obtained. |
