PURPOSE:A cosmetic for hair showing improved effects in protection of hair and hair growth, containing a culture material of mycelium of a bracket fungus of the genus Fomes or an extract of fruit body of a bracket fungus of the genus Fomes. CONSTITUTION:A cosmetic for protecting hair containing 0.01-10wt% dried powder of a culture material of mycelium of a bracket fungus of the genus Fomes or dried powder of a fruit body of a bracket fungus of the genus Fomes, or a cosmetic for hair containing 0.01-30wt% of the dried powder. A concentrate of the whole culture material obtained by cultivating mycelium of a bracket fungus of the genus Fomes in a liquid medium comprising 0.2-10W/V% glucose and 0.2-2W/V% embryo bud of wheat as essential components, a concentrate of culture solution separated from the mycelium, the separated mycelium, the whole culture material, the culture solution, its concentrate, or a solvent extract of the separated mycelium is used as the culture material of mycelium. |
