PULSE SIDE LOBE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To enable the suppression of a side lobe even with respect to signals of short-range radars, sensors and the like with a shorter pulse width without carrier, by performing a side lobe suppression processing for the signals as a result of the pulse shaping fand compression of received signals. CONSTITUTION:A pulse compression filter 1 acts on an input signal v(t) as received signal to accomplish a pulse compression and a waveform shaping for the right-left symmetrical waveform. A side lobe suppression filter 2 is made up of a transversal filter comprising a delay device, a multiplier and an adder. Then, the transversal filter which has such a coefficient as to minimize the squared sum of values of side lobes at he time when the output signal g(t) of the pulse compression filter 1 is selected as input signal is operated to suppress the side lobe and outputs a signal w(t).
