PURPOSE:To provide a titled construction which decreases the generation of skid marks and improves the heat insulating characteristic of a skid rail while maintaining the mechanical strength thereof by packing a heat insulating material such as ceramic wool into a recess formed on the bottom surface of the skid rail thereby forming the skid rail into the heat insulating construction. CONSTITUTION:The recess 12a is formed on the bottom surface of the skid rail 12 which supports a material 13 to be heated at the top surface thereof and the heat insulating material 14 such as ceramic wool is packed into the recess 12a in the construction of the skid rail consisting of inserting the lower part of the rail 12 into an attaching frame 11 provided in the upper part of a base 10 in a heating furnace. The rail 12 is made preferably of high-temp. high-strength ceramics. The heat insulating construction is formed by the above- mentioned material 14 to increase the surface temp. of the rail 12 by which the generation of the skid marks is decreased and the heat insulating characteristic is improved. The quantity of heat loss is thus decreased. |
