Apparatus for the manufacture of accumulator casings is described in which the end of a tube or hose to be shaped, or of a row of such hoses, is pushed onto a first S-shaped non- displaceably arranged core (3). The tube is then guided onto a rectilinear second core (5) connected mechanically with the first core (3). The cone (5) cooperates with a cylinder pair (13) each of whose circumference is shaped to form the tube (1) into pockets, the tube being later cut longitudinally and transversely by cutters (12, 11) respectively. Heat treatment is provided by devices (9) along the path section between the first core (3) and the second core (5). The distance between the first and second cores corresponds at least to three times the length of the second core (5) and at least one hundred times the maximum cross-sectional dimension, for example the diameter, of the raw tube. <IMAGE> |
