PURPOSE:To obtain the plastic magnet of high performance and good durability by composing the magnet out of the magnetic powder which was subjected to a surface treatment by a non-oxidizable treating agent, a polyphenylene sulfide resin or a polyether sulfone resin, and a reinforcing fiber. CONSTITUTION:Because the relatively high shaping temperature is employed for obtaining a molded magnet body. magnetic powder is subjected to a surface treatment previously to be made non-oxidizable. At least one selected out of the group of a dye as a non-oxidizable treating agent, a phosphide compound having P-O bond in the molecule, and silicon compound is dissolved or dispersed in a proper solvent and that solution is spread over the magnetic power followed by drying. When the magnetic powder subjected to a surface treatment is mixed with polyphenylene sulfide resin or polyether sulfone resin, the composition of plastic magnet which is improved in the resistance of high temperature to heat deformation and the resistance to deterioration with aging can be obtained. Particularly, when a rare-earth cobalt magnet is used as the magnetic powder, the plastic magnet of extremely high performance can be obtained. Fruthermore, by combining the reinforcing fibers selected out of glass fivers, carbon fibers, polyamide fibers, metallic fibers except ferromagnetic materials and whiskers a mechanical strengh such as a strength against shock and bent can be improved markedly. |
