PURPOSE:To reduce the discharge of NOx as well as to operate an engine in a stable manner, by installing a cylinder internal pressure maximum position detecting circuit, which detects a crank angle position where cylinder internal pressure comes to maximum, and also a reflux quantity compensating device which adjusts an exhaust gas reflux quantity. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder internal pressure maximum position detecting circuit 23 detects a crank angle position where cylinder internal pressure comes to maximum. A judging circuit 24 judges whether the detected position by the detecting circuit 23 is larger than the preset specified value or not. The judging result of the judging circuit 24 is inputted into a reflux quantity compensating device 25, and the fundamental EGR duty calculated by a fundamental EGR duty operational circuit 22 is compensated for increase or decrease. Thus, the discharge of NOx is reduced, and engine operation is stabilizable. |
