PURPOSE:To reduce the capacity of memory, by setting the sampling frequency and number of bit of modifying signal smaller than those of picture signal. CONSTITUTION:An analogue picture signal inputted to an input terminal 1 is converted into an digital signal by an A/D converter 2, and a detection code is added to it by a coder 3, and recorded on a VTR5 through a modulator 4. The reproduction signal is converted into former code by a demodulator 6 and error is corrected by a decoder 7. A modifying signal device 11 receives the picture signal from the decoder 7 and suppress its redundancy and temporarily stores it in a memory 12. The output of the memory 12 is decoded to a former picture signal by a modification decoder 13, and used as a modification signal at the decoder 7. Its picture signal is converted into the analogue signal by a D/A converter 9 and outputted from a terminal 10. Since the redundancy of the picture signal is suppressed by the modification decoder 13, the capacity of the memory 12 can be reduced. |
