PURPOSE:To correct frequency characteristic fluctuation due to spacing loss between magnetic tape and head by adjusting the correcting degree of a correcting circuit in accordance with the detecting output of a specified frequency band component level of a reproducing signal. CONSTITUTION:A PCM signal of a magnetic tape 1 is read by a magnetic head 2 and amplified by an amplifier 3 and then inputted to an HPF11 and detecting circuit 14 of a filter circuit 10. If the spacing loss between the tape 1 and head 2 is small, the input signal level becomes high, the detecting output voltage of a circuit 14 becomes high, the transistors (TR) Q1 and Q2 are turned on, a capacitor 5 is grounded, an LPF12 is made active, the characteristics of the HPF11 and LPF12 are combined, and the input signal with flat frequency characteristic is outputted to a terminal 13. If the spacing loss is large, the input signal level becomes low, the detecting output voltage of the circuit 14 becomes small, TRs Q1 and Q2 are turned off, the input signal has the high-band characteristics stressed by the HPF11 and the frequency fluctuation is corrected, and then outputted to the terminal 13. |
