PURPOSE:To lower break possibility of honeycomb catalyzer and to improve sealing property by lapping heat-resistant fiber tape to the side circumference of honeycomb catalizer and by welding half-cut cases in piles. CONSTITUTION:As the first step, lap a heat-resistant fiber tape around the side circumference of honeycomb catalizer. For example, asbestos, rock wool, ceramic fiber, carbon fiber, etc. are used as heat-resistant fiber tape. Then, as the second step, stuff the honeycomb catalizer lapped by the tape to one of the half-cut cases. As the last third step, press the other half-cut case to the position in piles, and weld the piled joint. Since the lapped layer of the tape is formed by the lapping method, space is formed and the honeycomb catalizer is not broken even if excessive compression is applied. |
