PURPOSE:To perform the maintenance of high styrene yielding properties and stability of the activity of the titled catalyst by molding the catalyst from the respective specified quantities of the catalytic component of iron oxide, potassium oxide and magnesium oxide and the specified quantity of the promotor component such as chromium oxide. CONSTITUTION:A catalyst for dehydrogenation consisting of 15.0-35.6wt% K2O, 1.8-5.4wt% MgO, one piece selected among the following (a)-(e) as a promotor and the balance iron oxide is molded. (a) 1-4wt% Cr2O3 (b) 1-4wt% Cr2O3 and 3.1-7.3wt% CaO (c) 1-4wt% Cr2O3, 3-6wt% Ce2O3 and 0.5-3wt% MoO3 (d) 3-6wt% Ce2O3 and 0.5-3wt% MoO3 (e) 3-6wt% Ce2O3, 0.5-3wt% MoO3 and 3.1-7.3wt% CaO. |
