Automatic appts. for mfg. slide fasteners with files comprises rollers which feed a gapped fasteners chain carried by a fly strip through a strip folder preceding a unit for applying sliders, a unit for applying bottom end stops and cutting the chain across its gaps, and discharge rollers which operate in synchronism with the feed rollers, the latter engaging the fastener chain intermittently to effect feeding.
