PURPOSE:To prevent heat from being transmitted to some external parts by providing a housing of double construction and feeding high pressure air from a compressor into a spacing between the inner and the outer shell of the housing. CONSTITUTION:The housing 8 of a regenerative type gas turbine consists of an external shell 19 and internal thin shells 20 and 21 of respective front and rear chambers 16 and 17. High pressure air from a compressure 1 disposed in front of the housing 8 flows through a spacing between the internal shell 20 and the external shell 19 and is further carried from a communicating hole 40 to the area around a heat-exchanger. A part of high-pressure air, on the other hand flows, from a communicating hole 39 into a spacing between the internal shell 21 and the external shell 19. Since the housing can therefore be cooled sufficiently, heat will not be prevented from being transmitted to some external parts. |
