Method for the photoelectric sensing of edges and structures

The invention relates to a method for sensing edges and structures by means of circle/circular-ring detectors. From the electrical signals generated by the detectors, measurement signals are generated by differentiation which are processed further in an evaluating unit or in a computer. The position of the edge or structure is determined from the null pulses of these measurement signals. Measurement signals with a very flat curve are not passed on for processing.
