PURPOSE:To reduce transmission errors due to cycle skip without degrading the bit error rate and the line use efficiency by introducing a delay circuit for a demodulated signal. CONSTITUTION:A modulated wave is subjected to synchronous detection together with a reproduced carrier by a mixer 1. The detectoin output passes a phase detector and LPF3 to control a VCO2. The detection output passes a delay circuit 10 and aphase indeterminacy eliminating circuit 5 to obtain the demodulated output. Cycle skip is detected on the basis of the input of the VCO2. A circuit 11 for this detection is realized by monitoring the change of a delay equal to the time required for this integration is given to the delay circuit 10 to operate the phase indeterminacy eliminating circuit for the detection output at the time when cycle skip occurs. |
