PURPOSE:To attract and remove dust adhering to the surface of a recording head by providing a recording head in a freely attachable/detachable manner against recording member and also a dust attracting means in the attachment/ detachment path. CONSTITUTION:An ion cartridge (ion stream generating device) is attached in a freely movable manner in an axial direction of a dielectric drum 1 and a dust attracting means 30 is set in the movement path so that the means contacts the ion irradiation surface of the ion cartridge 2 to remove dust adhering to the surface of the ion cartridge 2. The dust attracting means 30 is constituted with a attracting roller having an adhesive tape provided on the external circumferential surface of an elastic roller such as sponge. Dust adhering to the ion irradiation surface of the ion cartridge 2 is attracted by adhesive tape and subsequently, the ion irradiation surface is cleaned. |
