Process for carrying out an endothermic reaction

A process for carrying out an endothermic reaction is disclosed, in which a charge is dehydrogenated over a catalyst and the deactivated catalyst is flushed and regenerated oxidatively using a regenerating gas. To carry out this process in a simple and inexpensive manner, it is proposed to subject the regenerating gas discharged from the catalyst to an inert gas separation.
