A cheese press has a plurality of conveyor belts, which extend parallel to one another, for feeding cheese moulds having closing lids loosely mounted inside them, the conveyor belts being supported over the pressing section and the cheese press being provided with a superstructure on which pressing elements (one for each conveyor belt) are arranged. So that differences in mould dimensions and mould contents and the height of the closing lids can be better accommodated, the conveyor belts are according to the invention each provided with an elastically flexible support on their surfaces.
