<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the fuel consumption without deteriorating the acceleration performance in case of perfect opening at low speed by increasing the value obtained by dividing the engine revolution speed by car speed when the stepping-in amount of an accelerator pedal increases. CONSTITUTION:A driving shaft 41 is connected to the output shaft of an engine, and the output shaft 42 is connected to a driving wheel. The both shafts 41 and 42 are driven by a belt 45 laid between the pulleys 43 and 44 having variable diameter, and each diameter of the pulleys 43 and 44 can be varied according to the oil pressure supplied from a hydraulic control valve 46. A microcomputer 47 mounted onto a car controls the operation of the hydraulic control valve 46 according to the operation state of an engine. In this continuously variable transmission, the value obtained by dividing the revolution speed of the engine by car speed is increased according to the increase of the stepping-in amount of an accelerator pedal.</p> |
