A motor (6) drives a rotating head (1) with a cutter comprising the end part of a plastics filament coiled inside the head. The filament is paid out at the same rate as it is worn using centrifugal force. The filament is automatically freed to unwind from its spool, by a lock coupling whose action depends on the centrifugal force. The filament is fed out in units of one turn. |
