The device consists of a pressure pick-up which with the aid of a diaphragm influences the frequency of an oscillator inductively or capacitively, so that the frequency is a measure of the pressure; of an electronic evaluation system which either permits the pressure pick-up to be connected to a digital computer or additionally provides one or more further signals which are a measure of the speed and ensure that one or more work cycles of a piston-type internal-combustion engine are read into a digital computer; as well as of a digital computer. The electronic evaluation system in accordance with Claim 4 can also be connected to other pressure pick-ups as characterised in Claim 2.
