PURPOSE:To suppress an overcurrent immediately after a GTO is turned on by reducing the recovery charge amount of a diode connected in parallel with an anode reactor smaller than a diode connected in parallel with the GTO. CONSTITUTION:A GTO inverter has a parallel unit of an anode reactor AL and a diode DL connected in series with a GTO, connected in a bridge to output 3-phase AC, and drives an induction motor of a load. A diode DF is connected in parallel with the GTO, and a current when the GTO is turned off is circulat ed. In this case, the recovery charge amount of a diode DL connected in parallel with the reactor AL is selected smaller than the recovery charge amount of a diode DF connected in parallel with the GTO. Thus, the recovery of the diode DL can be accelerated to reduce the peak of the current flows to the GTO immediately after turning on. |
