PURPOSE:To obtain marking having high sharpness and to solve the problem such as the injury of a work and generation of scattering material by irradiating converged laser light on the working part and blowing a gas for accelerating oxidation. CONSTITUTION:A marking part 9 receives the injection of gaseous oxygen from a nozzle 5 in the position where laser light 7 is focused by a condenser lens 2. The gaseous oxygen is effectively heated indirectly when the nozzle 5 is heated by the irradiation of the light 15 reflected from a partial reflection mirror 13 and the gaseous oxygen passes a flow passage 6. The heated gaseous oxygen atmosphere is thus maintained in the marking part 9 and the temp. rises to establish the conditions adequate for the oxidation by heating. The formation of the sharp making to the work 8 is thus made possible even if the energy of laser light 7 is low. |
