PURPOSE:To stably and accurately measure a liquid level at the time of the variation in pressure, by mutually propagating pressure waves propagating through pressure guide pipings connected to the detection parts in the high and low pressure sides of a liquid-level meter and reducing the pressure difference of both detection parts. CONSTITUTION:A condensation tank 4 is connected to the pressure detection terminal 2 in the steam phase side above the liquid level 13 of a nuclear reactor pressure vessel 1 through pressure guide piping 3 and the pressure guide piping 5 connected to the lower end of said tank and the pressure guide piping 8 connected to the pressure detection terminal 7 in the lower liquid phase side of the vessel 1 are allowed to pierce through a receiving container 14 to be respectively connected to the detection parts 6, 9 in the low and high pressure sides of a liquid-level meter 10. Further, a pressure wave transmitter 17 is connected to the pipings 5, 8 through branched pressure guide pipings 15, 16. The transitional pressure wave generated in the vessel 1 is transmitted to the piping 8 from the piping 5 through the transmitter 17 and subsequently transmitted to the piping 5 from the piping 8 through the transmitter 17 and the effect of the pressure waves to the detection parts 6, 9 is reduced. |
