PURPOSE:To produce the titled sheet having fine naps, by applying uncured curable silicone rubber to a napped short-fiber material, curing the rubber, removing the napped material from the rubber to obtain a cured silicone rubber having fine pores, and applying a plastic material to the rubber mold. CONSTITUTION:For example, fibers of 0.1-20 denier in diameter and 0.2-5mm in length are planted densely to a material. An uncured curable silicone rubber (e.g., cold-curing rubber) is applied to the material to embed the planted fibers, cured, and the material is removed e.g. by dissolution to obtain a cured silicone rubber mold. A plastic material having a viscosity of 50-50,000cps and fluid at normal temperature (e.g. polyvinyl chloride) is applied to the rubber mold with a knife coater, etc. to fill the plastic material in the fine pores of the cured silicone rubber mold, solidified, and peeled from the silicone rubber mold to obtain a suede-like plastic sheet having excellent suede-like feeling and appearance, and having dense and fine naps at the surface. |
