PURPOSE:To prevent an air preheater from being corroded, by heating an air in normal temperature up to the temperature in dew point of exhaust gas by juxtaposedly contacting a pipeline of normal temperature air to a pipeline of exhaust gas in high temperature, and by bringing the heated air into contact with the exhaust gas by counter flow. CONSTITUTION:Combustion exhaust gas is fed into the primary group of air preheaters 1A-1B through a pipeline 3. The air in normal temperature is fed into the primary group of air preheaters from their exhaust gas inlets through a pipeline 4. The exhaust gas in high temperature and the air in normal temperature are made to contact to each other by making those gases flow juxtaposedly through pipelines respectively, and the air in normal temperature is heated up above the temperature in dew point of exhaust gas. The exhaust gas cooled in the primary group of air preheaters is fed into the secondary groups of air preheaters 2A-2D passing through a pipe-line 5. On the other hand, the air heated by the primary group of air preheaters is fed in reverse into the secondary group of air preheaters passing through a pipeline 6 from the reverse direction of exhaust gas which is flowing in the secondary group of air preheaters, contacted to the exhaust gas while counter-flowing. By this method, air preheaters are prevented from being corroded. |
