PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition of good appearance capable of giving molded articles of reduced sink marks, by incorporating carbon fiber-reinforced polyester resin with each specified amount of phosphorus compound and specific polycarbonate resin. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition comprising (A) 30-98.985wt% of a thermoplastic polyester resin, pref. polyethylene terephthalate or polybutylene terephthalate, (B) 1-60wt% of carbon fiber with a length 0.03-10mm, pref. surface-treated with highly carbonized carbonaceous matter or graphitic matter, (C) 0.01-5wt% of a phosphorus compound (e.g., triethyl phosphate, triphenyl phosphate) and (D) 0.005-5wt% of polycarbonate resin selected from resins having >=3 recurring units of formula [R1-R8 are each H or halogen; R9 and R10 are each alkyl (pref. of 1-5C)]. This composition can be obtained by blend ing (I) pellets consisting of components (A), (B) and (C) and (II) pellets consisting of components (A), (B) and (D). |
