The invention relates to a pipe clamp having an annular clamp body whose inside is covered by means of a rubber-elastic insert and whose ends bound a closable opening, the one end pointing outwards and being provided with a holder for a closing screw, while a connecting body which holds the closing screw is supported in the other end such that it can pivot. Such a pipe clamp is also intended to be capable of being fitted easily using only one hand. This is achieved in that the connecting body is constructed as an angled piece whose one limb is arranged on the outside of the clamp body and whose other limb is arranged on the inside of the clamp body, and is covered by the insert, the angle between the limbs being selected such that the outer limb runs approximately parallel to the end of the clamp body pointing outwards, when the pipe clamp is in the closed position, and the inner limb rests approximately over the entire area against the inside of the clamp body.
