PURPOSE:To reduce the internal pressure of a cell for preventing the leakage of its electrolytic liquid by providing negative electrode active material, consisting of zinc material injected with alkaline electrolytic liquid heated to 30-60 deg.C, and thereafter by sealing the outer container of the cell prior to the temperature of the electrolytic liquid goes down. CONSTITUTION:The inside of a container 1 which is also used as a positive electrode terminal is filled with positive electrode active material 2, consisting of silver oxide as its main component, and a separator 3 and electrolytic liquid holding material are arranged on it. And further, on which negative electrode active material 5, consisting of amalgamated zinc powder injected with an electrolytic liquid heated to 30-60 deg.C previously is arranged and prior to the temperature of the electrolytic liquid goes down, it is covered with a mouth sealing plate 6 which is also used as a negative electrode terminal, and sealed by caulking the opening portion (1a) of the container 1 through a packing 7, and an alkaline cell is formed. Therefore, the leakage of the electrolytic liquid can be prevented by cooling the electrolytic liquid at sealed condition and thereafter reducing the internal pressure of the cell properly. |
