PURPOSE:To modify easily and correctly an operating system by interpreting contents of a modification parameter inputted through an input device and executing automatically processing of a program for modifying the table of the system. CONSTITUTION:Parameters used for deletion, addition, type modification, etc., corresponding to a peripheral device to be modified are inputted through a keyboard or file on a magnetic disk. When the inputted modification parameter is decided to be correct, contents of the modification parameter are interpreted, and the program used for modifying the table of the operating system is processed. In such a case, when an erroneous modification is executed, the significance of the parameter is decided, and the message that it is an erroneous input is outputted. Thus the operating system can be easily modified without an error. |
