PURPOSE:To facilitate parallel operation control after starting of water turbine by functioning rotary force in reverse direction against the runner with ejection flow through brake nozzles thereby controlling operation while applying light load onto the runner. CONSTITUTION:When starting Pelton water turbine 3, a nozzle 1 for ejecting drive ejection flow is opened while a nozzle 2 for ejecting brake ejection flow is opened simultaneously or with slight time lag. The opening of nozzle 1 is enlarged to bring the water turbine 3 to specific rotation which is controlled through open/close operation of nozzle 1 to predetermined level. Opening/closing of said nozzle 1 is controlled at the position having relatively large opening to cover the volume of water for providing braking function, thereby variation of flow is low when compared with the motion of nozzle stroke thus to lower the sensibility of increment/decrement of rotation and to control within predetermined rotation easily. Consequently, hydraulic machine can be coupled easily in parallel to the power system. |
