NEW MATERIAL:The titled substance wherein at least one of X, Y, and Z of a 5-alkylphenazinium derivative shown by the formula I [R is alkyl, X is side-chain substituent group introduced to 1-position (or 9-position) of phenazinium skeleton; Y and Z are side-chain substituent group or H introduced to either of 2, 3, or 4 position (or 8, 7, or 6-position)] consists of a substituent group containing one or more alkylammoniums [group shown by the formula II (R1-R3 are alkyl, and R3 may be H)]. USE:An electron transferring particle. PREPARATION:A 1-hydroxy-5-alkylphenazinium shown by the formula III is reacted with an alkylaminoalkyl chloride to give a 1-alkylaminoalkoxyphenazine, which is treated with a dialkyl sulfate to give the aimed substance. |
