<p>PURPOSE:To attain high sensitivity and to improve the characteristics after repeated used by forming a photosensitive layer contg. a specified salt com pound. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive layer contg. a thulium salt compound represented by the formula (where B is a residue required to form benzodithulium, a benzoxy thulium ring, naphthodi thulium or a naphthodi thulium ring; each of A1 and A2 is S or O; X<-> is an anionic functional group; Q is a residue of benzene, naphthalene, anthracene or the like, m=0, 1 or 2, and n=0, 1 or 2) is formed. It is preferable that the photosensitive layer is of separated function type, and the thulium salt compound is used in the charge generating layer. The amount of the thulium salt compound in the charge gener ating layer is made as large as possible so as to attain satisfactory absorbance, and the charge generating layer is made thin so as to shorten the trajectory of generated charge carriers. An electrophotographic sensitive body contg. the thulium salt compound has very stable characteristics even after repeated use and superior sensitivity.</p> |
