PURPOSE:To stabilize the performance of a fuel cell by forming an electrolytic layer out of a mixture containing a matrix material phosphated with a high temperature, phosphoric acid over 80wt% in density and a fluorine series polymer as a sticking agent. CONSTITUTION:An electrolytic layer 1 in a fuel cell is formed by carrying out a heat processing after fully mixing silicon carbide powder as matrix material and phosphoric acid over 80wt% in density by means of decompression agitating material, and further adding methanol to mix, and thereafter mixing one, in which the solution of polytetrafluoroethylene is added to silicon carbide, as a sticking agent under a decompression state, and applying and sandwiching the obtained paste mixture between a pair of electrodes 2, 3. Accordingly, impurities and occluded air are restrained, and it is possible to obtain the electrolytic layer 1 with high hydrogen ion conductivity and high pressure for generating bubbles and to effectively prevent the characteristic lowering of a cell. |
