PURPOSE:To stabilize the ignition timing and to improve the drive feeling by lagging the lead angle with correspondence to the increase of correcting times to lagging side against an ignition timing signal due to knocking. CONSTITUTION:On the basis of the outputs from intake air pressure detector 1 and an engine rotation detector 2, basic ignition timing operating circuit 5 will operate the basic ignition timing. While on the basis of the output from a knock detector 11, knock interval signal generating circuit 12 will produce a knock interval signal and a knock strength signal generating circuit 13 will produce a knock strength signal which will determine the lagging angle to correct the ignition timing signal to lagging side. On the basis of the correcting times to the lagging side, the decision level of knock interval is decided through decision circuit 16 and if the knock interval is longer than said decision level, a lead angle setting circuit 18 will lead the ignition timing signal by predetermined level. |
