PURPOSE:To attain miniaturization and simplicity of a microprogram controller by decreasing the word length of a micro code to decrease the chip number of a memory element used for a microprogram memory. CONSTITUTION:A unit data 12 and a data identification flag 13 contained in a microcode 11 outputted from a microprogram memory 14 are inputted to a microsequencer 15 and a data processing circuit 17. When the sequencer 15 uses a flag 13 to identify that the data 12 does not include an address control code, a microaddress 16 to be outputted next is calculated from the address 16 outputted before and outputted. Further, the circuit 17 uses a flag 13 to identify the kind of the data 12 inputted from the memory 14 and outputs the result as a microinstruction 18 in a prescribed timing. |
