PURPOSE:To enhance the durability of a toothed belt and enable the belt to be prevented from electrification by getting rid of a separation of the tension member of the belt from the conductive cloth thereof when the conductive cloth is embedded in the toothed belt. CONSTITUTION:A toothed belt 1 has tooth parts 3 formed at specific pitches at the internal side of the belt base port 2 thereof and also has a tension member 4 embedded inside the belt base part. The conductive cloth 5 is exposed from the surface of the bottom parts 6 of the toothed belt 1 and makes contact with the tension member 4 in the same positions. The conductive cloth 5 is however, embedded in the teeth at the toothed parts 3 of the toothed belt 1 and placed apart from the tensile member 4. It is preferable that the cloth 5 has the longitudinal expansion ratio of 20% or less and the total denier ratio of warp yarn and weft yarn per unit area ranges from 2 to 101/1. |
