<p>PURPOSE:To certainly perform deodorizing treatment in low fuel cost, by burning desorbing steam, which was used in the steam desorption of the org. solvent adsorbed by activated carbon, in a combustion furnace along with fuel and air both of which change in their amounts corresponding to the content of the org. solvent in said desorbing steam. CONSTITUTION:Gas 21 to be treated is sent to an activated carbon adsorbing tower 24 to adsorb the org. solvent component therein while desorbing steam 31 is sent to activated carbon adsorbing tower 23. Fuel 32 is mixed with the desorbed org. solvent and desorbing steam 31 in a mixer 26 while the resulting mixture is mixed with air from a fan 30 in a deodorizing furnace 30 and burnt. At this time, the temp. of a combustion chamber is detected by a thermometer 52 and a temp. regulator 44, and a fuel control valve 46 is controlled so as to obtain stable combustion temp. and the temp. of the outlet exhaust gas of the deodorizing furnace 27 is detected by a temp. controller 45 so as to be set to the inlet proper temp. of a waste heat boiler 28 and air is supplied to the waste heat boiler 28 by a dilution air damper 50. A fuel control valve 46 is throttled gradually from a full open state with the increase in the concn. of the org. solvent in desorbing steam and a combustion air control damper 47 is opened. When the concn. of the solvent is to be reduced, reverse operation is performed.</p> |
